Party barge Plies Lake Monona
The screened porch floating on Lake Monona is not a delusion or a remnant of a house that collapsed into Lake Delton and mysteriously found its way to another body of water.
The tentative name for this peculiar vessel is Badger Barge, and it's the result of a mistake made last summer by Joe Shulla, of Madison. Shulla, who constructs decks and piers for a living, had been hired by a Texas couple to build a screened porch attached to a pier on Twin Lake in Barron County.
Everybody loved the finished product ...
Pontoon porches are hand crafted and custom made to ensure a soothing and tranquil experience unlike any other. Pontoon porches are a revolutionary concept with widespread appeal.
Just imagine being able to fire up the grill on the lake while watching the game on your TV. How about floating quietly on the lake waters while reading the morning paper? Do you have kids who love to swim?

Think about sitting on your pontoon porch protected from the sun, holding an ice-cold glass of iced tea, while your children jump in and out of the water within arms reach. Imagine spending a night out on the lake waters, sleeping under the stars absorbing the night sounds of the lakeside, while being curled up on comfortable furniture and reading a book by the light of a lamp. No more bugs, no more hot sun, just you relaxing and rejuvenating right in the water with the same comforts of your porch at home.
