Party barge Plies Lake Monona
The screened porch floating on Lake Monona is not a delusion or a remnant of a house that collapsed into Lake Delton and mysteriously found its way to another body of water.
The tentative name for this peculiar vessel is Badger Barge, and it's the result of a mistake made last summer by Joe Shulla, of Madison. Shulla, who constructs decks and piers for a living, had been hired by a Texas couple to build a screened porch attached to a pier on Twin Lake in Barron County.
Everybody loved the finished product ...
Just the same as your porch at home, our screened in, knotty pine finished, porches provide a bug free environment for your families enjoyment. The interior and exterior of all the porches are finished off with tongue-n-groove knotty pine and treated with three coats of weather resistant exterior urethane.
To aide in providing a bug free environment, we place a screen between the floors’ joists and the floorboards to keep bugs from finding their way in. To permit fishing on rainy days, pontoon porches are all equipped with a discreet trap door built inside the screened in area. There are several interior outlets located inside the screened in porch.
All pontoon porches come with a deck to enhance your outdoor experience. The sizes of these decks vary, depending on the size of the pontoon. These unique pontoon porches are all built with pressure treated lumber to ensure both durability and longevity.
The solid foundation and weight of these pontoon porches provides passengers with a unique feeling of security that other boats cannot offer. The pontoon porches enable you to move freely across the boat with minimal movement in the floor below. To maximize space, each pontoon porch has sliding gates to board the boat and sliding doors to enter the porch.
Pontoon porches are built with the whole family in mind. Surrounded entirely by a 30-inch railing with five-inch (on center) aluminum pipes, your family and friends will besafe and secure on your pontoon porch. Each exit is locked from the outside of the pontoon porch to provide a child-friendly environment.
For all the swimmers on board, each pontoon porch has a ladder/rail designed for easy and safe water access.

These one of a kind pontoons have been both engineered and custom designed exclusively for Pontoon Porch Each of the rectangle shaped pontoons found under you pontoon porch, have 800 lbs of buoyancy. Each of the angled pontoons, found under your pontoon porch, have 400 lbs of buoyancy
All pontoons are tongue-n-grooved together to ensure proper alignment.

All pontoon porches can be customized to best meet your personal needs. The most popular size sold is our 10’x21’.
With a starting price of $18,500, this model has a screened-in porch that measures 10’x11’, leaving a 7’x10’ deck space; along with a 3’ walk way in the rear with additional storage and motor mount.
When customizing your size keep in mind your screened in porch has to stay at ten feet in width due to transportation and delivery. When making pontoon porches wider we are able to add four feet in width to your pontoon porch by building a two-foot removable walkway along both sides. When it comes to customizing the length of your pontoon porch the total number of feet must be divisible by three due to the three-foot pontoons.

For your convenience, there are two spacious storages compartments, located at the rear of every pontoon porch. All electrical wiring is run to this compartment, which has the ability to house up to a 2000-watt quite generator.
This compartment has enough room to store all life jackets, water toys and all other personal items.
